6 Dec Circulation of petitions begins.

2008

2–4 Feb Circulation ends; petitions submitted to City Clerk (75 days from filing with the City Clerk on 19 Nov 2007).
18 Feb City Clerk concludes verification of signatures within 15 days.*

A Supplemental Petition may be circulated if the requisite number of signatures has not been verified by City Clerk.
3 Mar Supplemental Petition may be filed with the City Clerk, who has 15 days to verify.
17 Mar Sufficient Petition submitted to City Clerk. Results go to the City Council without delay.
  • Council will at once order a Special Election to be held within 60 to 75 days after the date of the order.

  • Or, if a Regular Municipal Election will occur within 60 to 90 days from the order, the Council may order the Special Election to be held at the same time.
6 Jun Regular Primary Election (City Council may order the Special Election to be held on this day).
